Concept
The Big Harbour Residence was conceived to support an active, outdoor lifestyle without compromise. Unlike many rural properties that require driving to access nature, this site offers direct access to beaches, trails, and calm waters from the front door.
Set on approximately 10 acres this property combines seclusion, convenience, and community—creating a rare and highly desirable lifestyle opportunity.

Design
The residence was purpose-built as an active house, emphasizing health, performance, and environmental integration. Slightly elevated and clad in natural vertical wood siding, the home blends into the surrounding forest while maintaining a strong architectural presence.
Large south-facing windows, high ceilings, and a subtle 15-degree bend in the building orientation maximize solar gain, views, and connection to the waterfront.

Build
Construction focused on durability and energy efficiency. An oversized concrete foundation provides thermal mass for in-floor heating and passive solar storage, while advanced framing and enhanced insulation ensure exceptional winter performance.
The home works with local climate conditions, capturing winter sun and encouraging natural ventilation and cooling during warmer months.
